RMI’s mission is to transform lives through church-to-church partnerships. We facilitate and are the bridge to make these successful cross-cultural partnerships work. We work hand-in-hand with national churches to enable and resource them for life transformation. This takes place through evangelism, discipleship, education, community development and social compassion. It is a holistic endeavor that will enable an entire US church to have a strategic impact in the national church’s lives and into their community.

The Hope for Kidz program is meeting the educational and physical needs of Haitian children who are unable to attend school.
For almost 40 years, God has been transforming lives through the ministry of Reciprocal Ministries International (RMI). Together, we have witnessed God’s faithful hand in every chapter of our story. Now, we believe it’s time to take our next step. We are thrilled to introduce VISION | NEXT, a campaign designed to help prepare RMI for an even greater season of impact.
The VISION | NEXT campaign exists to increase RMI’s capacity for life changing Gospel work in the United States, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. VISION | NEXT is more than just a campaign; it’s our declaration of our unwavering commitment to the transformative power of the Gospel in the context of long-term cross-cultural church partnerships.
We consider the Gospel to be the unsurpassed agent of radical life change.
We value the Church as God’s chosen instrument of change.
We mobilize partnerships to effectively minister to one another as part of Christ’s body and others around us.
We believe that Christ is honored and pleased by service that requires sacrifice on the part of the server.
Under the auspices of RMI, MEBSH, and the CBD, the Ezra Institute is aimed at high school graduates, those whose church leadership have identified as having leadership potential. This 2-year program emphasizes having a Biblical life foundation, discipleship and the ability to share their faith, having a Biblical worldview, Biblical ethics, leadership, as well as vocational training such as English, computer usage, accounting and many other subjects. The Ezra Institute will initially operate in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Later, a campus will be added in the southern city of Les Cayes, Haiti.
Food for Health addresses malnutrition and food needs in several ways as it is one of the constant issues of extreme poverty. It is hard for us to imagine how so many kids and families live with constant hunger as a part of their normal life. One box provides 216 meals. This will feed a family of six a nutritious meal every day for over a month. Churches and individuals sponsor these boxes of food which are distributed through local churches in the area of need.
Goats 4 Haiti is another effective way to provide a sustainable income and meat source for a Haitian family. Typically cared for by the children in the family, goats are like a savings account for a family. Starting out with a female goat, they are able to develop a small herd. Then, as a financial need arises, they can sell a goat. The program is self-sustaining as well because each recipient is required to give their goat’s first female offspring back to the church which in turn gives it to another family where the process repeats itself. It’s truly the gift that keeps on giving.
Homes for Haiti grew out of the tremendous need for transitional housing after the January, 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Since that time churches and individuals have been able to sponsor the cost of building 200 to 400 square foot transitional homes for families in desperate need whether due to the earthquake or to many other circumstances.
Hope for Kidz is a child sponsorship program founded by Reciprocal Ministries International (RMI) in 1999 to meet the educational and physical needs of Haitian children unable to attend school due to their severe poverty. RMI partners with schools that are part of the Evangelical Baptist Mission of Southern Haiti (MEBSH). MEBSH schools typically cover grades K-9. Children are chosen for sponsorship based on financial need.
We are bringing light and energy to Haiti. In many Haitian communities, access to electricity is unreliable or nonexistent. Through solar energy, RMI is bringing sustainable power to homes, schools, and churches.
Water for Health was developed to help provide pure drinking water for families and communities. This is a great need as the government is not able to provide water systems for most areas in Haiti. Most water is obtained via springs or rivers with most of this water being contaminated with diseases, etc. So having pure drinking water via one of our family water filters for a household or a well drilled for a community is one of the great health needs for most Haitians. Churches and individuals are able to sponsor these systems to help provide this basic necessity.

“I appreciate how RMI views short-term mission trips; the sensitivity to the culture, our own and for those we came to ‘help’. The reciprocal nature of the ministry is paramount… even more important than the tasks we came to accomplish.”
“This is absolutely the very best short-term mission program that any church could participate with and become partners in. It challenges and changes lives, on both ends, as we together act as God’s hands and feet.”
