God’s Provision in 5 Days

February fifth was a tough day for Agape Flights (the mail and cargo carrier RMI uses) as one of their planes crashed in the mountains of Haiti.  In our February 10 post, we shared that the 2 pilots lost their lives, Agape lost a key tool in their ministry (the plane), and RMI missionaries lost quite a bit of cargo.  We set up a “Lost Cargo” fund to help the missionaries replace some of what was lost.

Within 5 days, more than the $13,500 (the estimated amount needed) had been raised.  God’s people responded and met that need!  It was such an encouragement to those missionaries and has helped ease the pain of losing so much.

Thank you to those who responded to that immediate need.

Andrew and Dawn Tlucek shared:

“On one of the most shocking days of losing friends and fellow workmen on the mission field, the last thing on our minds was what belongings of ours were lost.  Then it hit us, we had over 600 lbs. of cargo on that plane.  All of our family’s clothes, kitchen items, personal momentos (wedding, honeymoon, family pictures), ministry items, so many things.  Our things paled in comparison to the lost lives of the pilots, but it created a real need to replace these things.  We had made a long-term commitment to move from Haiti to the Dominican Republic to minister there…and we needed many of those things replaced.

We thought it would take a year or more to save for and replace what was lost.  However, Dawn, Layton, Owen, Everett, and I were speechless to learn that the body of Christ answered our need, and in less than 5 days, provided the financial help we needed to begin replacing what was lost and making our house a home.

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  We are grateful and humbled by each and every gift.  Through your gift, you are serving here in the DR with us as the hands and feet of Jesus.”

The Tluceks (DR), Starkeys (DR), and Tessa Andrews (Haiti) are low on their ministry funds… so if you would like to help them, you can go HERE.
