Beautiful things are happening through our HaitiConnect initiative. In a season where many U.S. churches have been unable to visit their Sister Churches in Haiti due to travel limitations and security challenges, HaitiConnect is breaking through the distance — one virtual call at a time.
These calls are far more than just a video chat. They are reunions! Smiles spread across screens as pastors, leaders, and church members greet one another, pray together, and share how God is at work in their churches and communities. The conversations are rich with encouragement and gratitude, as both sides witness how the partnership is still very much alive.
The benefits are immediate:
- Personal Connection: Face-to-face interaction reminds both churches of their shared mission and deepens relational bonds.
- Mutual Encouragement: U.S. churches hear firsthand how their support is making a difference, while Haitian churches are reminded they are not forgotten.
- Real-Time Updates: Churches can pray for one another’s current needs, celebrate victories, and walk together through challenges.
- Strengthened Partnerships: Regular communication keeps the relationship vibrant, rather than being dependent on occasional trips.
- Encouragement During Crisis: Haitian churches are facing enormous challenges; these calls remind them that they are supported, loved, and prayed for.
We’ve seen amazing fruit from these calls—and we’ve only just begun.
How does it work? (Access HaitiConnect Guide Here)
- You email us (partnerships.haiti@rmibridge.org) to let us know that you’d like to set up a HaitiConnect call.
- We coordinate your schedule with that of Haiti Church Leaders to find a time that works for both.
- We send you a calendar invite that will include a link that you’ll click on at the time of the call.
- You can invite whoever you want to be on the call. We would suggest that Pastors, Coordinators (C3P and HFK), and any other church leaders or staff members.
- We’ll start with a few greetings. We’ll then ask the Haiti side to give a short ministry update, and then we’ll ask the US side to give a ministry update. Afterwards, both sides will have an opportunity to ask questions. We’ll then close in prayer.
- You should expect your call to last about 1 hour.
If your church is interested in experiencing the joy and impact of a HaitiConnect call, we’d love to help you get started. Contact us at partnerships.haiti@rmibridge.org, and let’s connect your church with your Haitian brothers and sisters.
