Our HFKz team traveled to each of our schools in September and October and successfully completed their visits. The Lord provided for each member of our two teams as they traveled, giving them safe passage, clear skies, and excited children at each stop. We welcomed new students and were happy to see returning ones as well. Please watch for emails from our HFK Director for any updates on student attendance that may need to be addressed.
A little peek behind the scenes…operating a child sponsorship program is very labor-intensive. What you see in the picture is just 2 RMI staff, but behind the scenes there are quite a bit of staff who organize these trips; there are staff who organize the pictures – making sure that the correct child is getting their picture taken and the information that they have goes with the correct child. Multiply that by 3,000 kids, and you’re talking about a lot of detail work. When the kids write letters, those letters need to be translated and then sent to the correct sponsors. RMI also visits each school to make sure each supported child is attending school and doing well. If a child needs to use the major medical fund, RMI must administer it and follow through. Administering the Hot Lunch Program is another facet of the Hope for Kidz Program that must be set up and managed.
